White Perch
Contrary to what its name suggests, the White Perch is actually part of the bass family. Female White Perch mature by age 3 and produce 50,000 to 150,000 eggs which they release over the course of 10 to 21 days, when they ovulate. White Perch feed on insects, shrimps and small fish. Fish eggs are essential to the diet of White Perch and they may even eat their own eggs!
